Job Description :Our Client is looking for a Senior Data Architect in Edmonton!

Must Have Primary Skills :
 5+ years of experience defining data architecture and using Kimball architecture to develop data marts.
 Strong experience with data profiling, including detailed profiling of tables and source data.
 Experience creating design and data mapping specifications.
 Strong knowledge of Facts and Dimensions and dimensional data modeling.
 Hands-on experience developing and testing ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.
 Experience developing Power BI reports for data validation and testing. 
Experience with SQL/database development, including T-SQL, Oracle, and/or PL/SQL.
 Recent training in Cloud Computing, Microsoft Azure, and Azure Architecture within the past 5–10 years.
 Experience working with data marts, Enterprise Data Warehouses (EDW), and data models.
 2+ years of experience working in or with public-sector environments, including awareness of privacy legislation such as FOIP. Experience with data modeling tools such as PowerDesigner, ERWin, Oracle Designer, SQL Developer Data Modeler, or Microsoft Visio is an asset.
 Experience with JOIN (Justice Online Information Network) and JIMS (Justice Information Management System) is an asset.
 Experience working in court environments and understanding judicial processes is an asset.
 Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-     making. 
Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is strongly preferred;  equivalent experience may be considered.
 Must be able to work within Canada and attend meetings/work sessions in Edmonton when required.

Nice To Have Secondary Skills :
 Experience using JOIN (Justice Online Information Network) and JIMS (Justice Information Management System) data and structures.   Knowledge of business rules and processes related to judicial/court environments.
 Experience working in or with court environments, with awareness of judicial independence.
 Experience with data modeling tools such as SAP/Sybase PowerDesigner, ERWin, Oracle Designer, SQL Developer Data Modeler, or   Microsoft Visio.
 Experience working with information management and cybersecurity policies, directives, and guidelines.

Proven Experience In :
 Review existing data marts and perform detailed data profiling.
 Create data design and mapping specifications.
 Define Facts and Dimensions using dimensional/Kimball architecture. Develop and test ETL processes.
 Develop Power BI reports for data validation and testing.
 Update data models and stage required data.
 Perform quality assurance testing of Facts and Dimensions.
 Support data architecture, data governance, and data quality initiatives.
 Participate in architecture and design reviews.
 Provide data architecture guidance and recommendations to business and technical
 stakeholders.
