Job Description :Our client is looking for Senior Developer, Equity Markets in Alberta!
Must Have Primary Skills :
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, software engineering, or a related field is required.
- A minimum of 8 years of software development experience.
- The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software design principles, system design, algorithms, and data structures.
- The candidate must demonstrate the application of best-practices in the software development process.
- Extensive experience working with Python is required.
- Experience with database design and SQL.
- Strong understanding of systematic investment strategies and equity research practices.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment.
Nice To Have Secondary Skills :
- A CFA designation, master’s degree, or other relevant advanced education would be considered a strong asset.
- Experience with other languages such as Java or C#.NET would be considered an asset.
Proven Experience In :
- Proven experience in the financial services industry, specifically in fund management and capital markets.
- Knowledge of systematic investment practices and public market products, trade workflow, and investment research would be an asset.
